A solidarity movement

Akwaba Community contributes to the cultural influence, economic prosperity and development of intellectual, social and technical skills of the French-speaking community of African origin.

Particular emphasis is placed on welcoming and settling in newcomer families (housing, healthcare, careers and jobs, rights and duties).

Akwaba Community (A.C.) contributes to the well-being of our community through collaboration and interaction with other associations and/or organizations with a similar or related vision.

SERVING THE COMMUNITY...

A non-profit organization, Akwaba Community (AC) was created on March 9, 2017 in Toronto as a socio-communitarian and apolitical organization aimed at the entire French-speaking community of African origin across Canada.

Our vision

Etre is the immigrant's first companion, his guide and compass. Il s'agit d'un outil de référence complet destiné à aider les nouveaux arrivants dans leurs démarches administratives et sociales. It provides the right information and promotes the services offered by the Canadian government and its social partners.

Our mission

To undertake, strengthen and promote concrete actions of solidarity and mutual aid that contribute to the well-being of the community of Ivorian origin and other French-speaking Africans living in Canada. Pursue the realization of said community's well-being through collaborative actions and interactions with communities and/or organizations with a similar or related vision.
